Who We Are.

At Trivium Partners, we believe great businesses deserve thoughtful transitions.

We are a privately held investment firm that acquires and grows established Australian businesses through long-term, operator-led ownership. We work with business owners and leaders who are considering selling or exiting their business and want confidence that what they have built will continue in capable, responsible hands.

Our approach is grounded in respect for people, culture, and continuity. As operators and entrepreneurs ourselves, we understand what it takes to build and sustain a business over time. We acquire businesses with the intention of owning and running them for the long term, working closely with operating partners to support stability and continued success.

For business owners considering a sale, we understand that it is about more than completing a transaction. It is about clarity, trust, and confidence in what comes next, knowing the business, its people, and its customers will be looked after with care.

Rob is an operator and business owner with experience leading, growing, and transitioning businesses in both Australia and the UK.

He has held senior leadership roles across sales, operations, and executive management, and has led businesses through periods of significant change, growth, and complexity. Rob served as CEO of Marine Rescue Technologies in the UK, where he oversaw the company’s strategic direction, operational transformation, and eventual sale to a strategic buyer following sustained growth in revenue and profitability.

Since returning to Australia, Rob has focused on long-term ownership of Australian SMEs. He led the acquisition of ACE Training in 2021 with the support of aligned, long-term capital, stepping into the role of CEO and taking responsibility for strategy, governance, and day-to-day operations. In 2023, he led the acquisition of MultiSkills Training, further expanding Trivium’s operating footprint. In each case, Rob has been directly accountable for continuity, regulatory compliance, team leadership, and sustainable growth.

In addition to his operating roles, Rob works closely with his father to manage a family investment portfolio with interests in multiple operating SMEs, providing further perspective on long-term ownership across different businesses and stages.

Rob’s approach to ownership is shaped by having sat on both sides of a transaction. He understands the weight of handing over a business and the responsibility that comes with stepping into it. That experience informs Trivium’s focus on fair value, discretion, and long-term stewardship, with decisions made by operators who are accountable for the business well beyond completion.

Rob holds an MBA from Macquarie University.
